Every year in Taiwan, we have several different holidays. This year, from April 4th through April 7th, we have our Spring Break holiday. During this holiday, my family typically visits our relatives, enjoys big family meals, and sometimes goes on a short trip together. Other people like to go hiking, visit night markets, or relax at home watching movies.
This year, my plans are as follows.
On the first day of the spring holiday, I’m going to Sun Moon Lake. While I’m there, I’m planning to take a boat ride around the lake, enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, and visit the famous Wenwu Temple. I also want to try some local specialties, like tea eggs and black tea. If the weather is nice, I might even rent a bike and cycle along the lakeside trail.
On the second day, I’m going to go to Jianhu Shan World in Douliu, Yunlin. While I’m there, I plan to ride the roller coasters and other exciting amusement park rides. I’ll also explore the water park area and try some fun water slides. In the afternoon, I’ll take a break and enjoy some snacks from the food stalls inside the park. It’s going to be a day full of adventure and fun!
Then, on the third day, I plan to visit Anping Old Street in Tainan to enjoy some delicious local food. The first thing I’ll do is have a warm bowl of beef soup, which is famous in Tainan. After that, I’ll walk around the old street and look for different kinds of preserved fruits (蜜餞) to bring home. Before heading back, I might stop by Anping Tree House to take some photos.
Overall, my Spring Break will be full of travel, sightseeing, and delicious food. I’ll get to enjoy nature, have fun at an amusement park, and eat some amazing local dishes. I’m really looking forward to this holiday!
